Right click on finale app. Show package contents...go to teh resources/.../palettes and you should see the files in question. They should have zero bytes. Replacing these with your backup copy.
I used time machine. First, I copyed the B version to teh desktop, restored the old copy, opened the old copy (A), copied the palette files to the B palletes. Deleted the A version. Moved the B from the desktop back to the apps folder. That did the trick until they fix this release.
Doesnt give me much confidence in their SQA process. I mean this is basic build acceptance testing and on a release candidate! Is it indicative of larger makemusic corporate problems? And just think if this was something non-UI related...
Moreover, why would they design a product that has two locations for palettes - globe and traditional in one place, and some more in a resource folder? Bad SQA...Bad Software design... | Back to Top | |

Right click on Finale app. Show package contents...go to teh resources/.../palettes copy them to the same place in 2008b and it works as it should.
