I use Finale 2002 on Windows 98. I use a third party shape note font for my music, Karen Willard's doremi. Two problems:

1) When I print the first time after I have opened the program the printout doesn't show doremi, it shows characters from some special characters font. The second time I print, same piece or another one, it prints correctly.

2) When I load a piece with doremi I get the message "No font annotation files found..." This is new in Finale 2002. I don't really mind because I can go ahead and use the program, but is there some way to turn this message off?

It's better to add the characters in the doremi font to your font annotation files. See page 6-22 in the Online Manual.

Charles, that sounds like something goofy with your printer driver. I haven't seen a problem like this. Try updating your printer drivers.
