We've installed Finale Notepad (2012.r1) on a pc running Windows 10.
I produce Finale files with my full version Finale 2014.
Then I export it to 2012-format.
We tried to run this file, first on my own pc. Everything was ok.
Then we tried on the other pc and nothing happened.
No sound and no vertical, moving indicator.
The sound on this pc Works With other type of files.
I consider reinstalling, but I really don't believe in it.
Anyone had this problem?
Any suggestions what to do?

I think that files saved in Finale cannot be used in Notepad. But the opposite is possible.

Finale 2009c now (works better than 2011c) on OS X 10.6.8 and not thinking to upgrade any more until both computers die completely (iMac 21', MacBook Pro 13').

I don't think that's true. You can open any .mus file in Notepad. You are just limited in what you can do with it.

For this particular problem, I guess we would need to see the file.
