I seem to recall someone mentioning that the preferences file location has changed in Finale 25, but I've forgotten what the difference is. Would someone please enlighten me.

The location has not changed - it is still in the same folder called Preferences.

However, it is no longer called what you might expect, i.e. 'Finale 25 Preferences', but rather 'com.makemusic.finale.fprf' which puts it quite a distance away from the older Finale preference files, and makes it easy to miss.

The needs to find it should be reduced, as you can reset it from within the application's preferences dialog itself, unless it has gone so horribly wrong that you can't launch, of course.
