What I had done, which I thought ought to have worked, is I copied and pasted the bassoon part (this is still my vocal score), that has the high A flat for the first 2/3 of the first triplet and then the lower D, D flat, B flat, into the upper stave. Next I copied and pasted the lower notes into the piano left hand and deleted them from the RH, before adding the rest of the bar on that stave from another instrument. Apparently doing it this way doesn't work; but surely it should. David Ward www.composers-uk.com/davidward
