But alas, it leaves one behind, and does not delete different instances of the same expression/articulation. "Anything is possible if you don't know what you are talking about!"

If it's a score, you can copy regular single articulations from another similar stave and they'll overwrite the double-upped ones. I don't know of any plugin that can handle these situations.
I often find these after I start working on extracted parts, which makes for a lot of frustration.
