Boy, was I excited to actually discover an Applescript dictionary in Finale 2005.

I need to export several hundred pages of music for web display and after experimenting with different graphic formats and conversions PDF directly from the Print Dialog in Finale turned out to be the best (so far). Of course the PDF files are about 3x the size of the 72dpi gifs I used before (~50kb vs. 10-15kb) but then you can actually read them while the 72dpi GIfs (especially when using Maestro font) seem to loose stems and staff lines.

But now I have to eport all the music again. Finale 2005 can finally respond to Open and Print commands issued from Applescript. But I can' t figure out how to tell the Print Dialog to save as PDF.

Finalescript, one would think, might be just as usuable for this purpose but the manual doesn't say how.

Any ideas are most welcome.

Peter
