Hello Finale friends,

I am not sure, if this has been discussed here, but again - the search engine did not find anything according to this problem, so I am asking if:

is there anybody who can explain, why TGTools window (Measure Widths for example) does not close when I hit Esc?
It worked until 2014.5.
I have quite a few Quick Keys shortcuts for TGTools and it was the fastest way to use them then hit Esc to continue without any need of using the mouse and without any plugin window opened, which is essential for me...

Thank you for your help, advices, ideas.

I've noticed this since El Capitan. With some windows pressing Esc actually tries to enter text (like I, We) into the field which is open. This means that I have to use the mouse to close windows in TGTools but also in Robert Patterson's and JW's plugins.

I contacted Tobias Giesen almost 2 months ago regarding TGTools' difficulties with Finale 2014.5. He replied that he was working on fixes to the interface. I assume these fixes are taking some time to get right.

Till now, TGTools, the Patterson plugins and the JW plugins have been very dependable, usually regardless of which Mac OS and Finale version they are used on. I just hope that we aren't seeing Finale and Mac OSX beginning to outrun the ability of plugin developers to keep up with their programming whims. These guys aren't getting rich writing plugins, even Tobias and Robert who charge a nominal fee. Losing the ability to use some plugins would affect a lot of us who count on them for productivity.

I agree with N. Grossingink. Plugins programmers like Tobias Giesen, Jari Williamson, Robert Patterson save a lot of time for all the Finale users and I do hope very much, that they will.

There's a new TGTools version 2.80 beta for Mac Finale 2014.5 on my site now. It fixes these issues. Aligning dynamics should now work again, and the dialogs are fully functional.

Feel free to test it and report any bugs.

I am sorry for the delay.

Thank you very much indeed for this. I've downloaded and installed the up-date and will test it during the next few days.
