What Finale program can I use on an I Pad? I want to be able to work in my car, and then download to my full Finale 2014.5 at home. I just need it to sketch lead sheets or, at most a 2 stave Piano part.
Thanks, Jack

There is no "Finale" app for iPad: (MakeMusic did make one, but it is no longer supported / doesn't work and they haven't updated it for the latest OS versions).

However, there are plenty of apps that will let you write music on an iPad, and many of them include MusicXML export so you can load it into Finale afterwards.

I use Symphony Pro, which is probably more than enough for most uses.

Having bought my IPad years ago primarily for the feature of playing my Finale scores on it with the now discontinued MM player app. I am now more than ever intrigued by possibilities of the Surface tablet/laptop.

I have become quite UNenamoured of the IPad over the years, and not only because I cannot easily work with Finale on it. I won't be getting a new tablet of any kind anytime soon, but when I do I am determined to find something more Windows-friendly and easier to work with than the Apple products I have at the moment.

By the way, if you do have the MM Songbook app, it can still be used if you save your 2014 files as 2012 legacy and if you have a bluetooth keyboard to override the built -in IPad keyboard so it won't keep popping up whenever you have a music file on the screen. I have upgraded my iOS software multiple times, and am still able to use the MM app, but as you can see it's not convenient.
