I am using Finale 2010.  I have placed a rit into a measure.  It does not work.  I have set it to show on all parts.  The playback ignores it.  HP is set to incorporate.  Is there anything I am missing.  I have never had this problem with previous versions of Finale.  Please advise.  I also set up this example in the Jazz font, but the example is showing in Broadway.  I am wondering if I have to reinstall the software.  I'm including a portion of my score.   See below.  Thanks.

Hello,

First, this question belongs on the Win or Mac forum.

Second, if you right click (control-click for Mac) on the handle of that Rit expression, choose Edit Text Expression Definition > Playback Tab > Execute Shape > choose a shape that goes from upper left to lower right and click OK, the Rit should slow down.

The above steps worked for me.

Good luck!

Sorry about the wrong forum.  I saw the Expressions post and thought it should go here.  It seems that Version 2010 is missing some of these shapes.  At least for me.  I've contacted Finale tech support regarding this.  Thanks for the info.

Or, use a Rit. expression that isn't defined for playback and enter the exact amount of Rit. you want using Tempo Tap.
