I'm just getting started on a new theatre project, and decided to upgrade to 2014.5. 2014(.4 or "d") was giving me all sorts of slowness issues once I got halfway through a score, and began to add lyrics. I installed 2014.5 and have been struggling since, and I'm wondering if my issues have been documented anywhere else.
I was able to set up a template for my scores without too much issue - an occasional glitch or two - but generally ok. As soon as I started to use nearly any tool, it seemed as if the screen never updated. I could select a measure with the selection tool, and it would never highlight, until (the crazy part ...) I scrolled with my magic mouse. Then the screen would redraw with the appropriate selection. (!) Also - for example - if I added a new tempo marking, the marking would not show on the score, until I switched to page view, and then back to scroll view (and yes, the opposite is also true - starting in page and moving to scroll). All repeatable issues.
I've since gone back to 2014 until I can figure this one out.
Troubleshooting thus far: Tried new file. Prefs cleared and restarted. Reinstalled from fresh download. Attempted with clean boot.
Will entertain any thoughts ... THANKS!

It's infuriating; edits seem to be taking place in the background, but not showing on the screen. Screen redraw doesn't make any difference. A quick work around is to toggle between Page view and Scroll view, but really?
Anyone any insights?
Guess it's back to 2014 until this is fixed. . . .

I have just done the parts for another piece which worked perfectly.
It was an edited version of a old file, so perhaps there was a conversion issue?
