Hello, dear Forum-users!
(Wind. 2000 Pro, Fin. 2002a, HP LaserJet 6L)
I turn to you with a problem that to me seems to have come to me since I updated to Finale 2002a.
When I try to print my most ordinary score of 30 staves, 14 pages of showmusic on A4-size stock, it causes my printer to run out of memory and thereby I cannot print my score! 3 pages of score, then the printer runs out of memory (it appears like) and I have to turn the power off and then back on in order to get control over my printer again.
The graphic-file that is sent to the printer ends up on 4MB!! This is extraordinary big for this kind of score. Through my years as a part-time professional copyist I've printed many more "demanding" scores than this one, ON EARLIER VERSIONS OF FINALE without a hint of a problem.
Since I updated, this tends to happen on all scores of any size. Happily for my customers I can still print parts though...
I need help with thoughts on this instantly!
I make use of a typeface called AshMusic (which I'm very happy with). It has worked great throughout the years. I've tried to switch font, but the printingproblems remain.
I must also say that, SOME scores prints just beautifully also in Finale 2002a. It just makes me even more confused.
AND ALSO, if I set "Resize Page" to something like over 50% (making 3/4 of my particular score in mind invisuable on the print-out) it prints beautifully. If I turn back to 25%, the problem is back...
Thats the story in short.
I would like to know if someone have had similiare problems with Fin. 2002
Thanks!
/Kalle
