After using Finale for many years, (currently windows 2014.50) suddenly the playback doesn't honor changes in tempo.
I have checked the tempo marking to be sure that they are set for playback but Finale insists on playing the default tempo.
If I change the default tempo, it works ok but still doesn't honor tempo markings.
When I then try to enter a new tempo marking the program crashes.
Can anyone give me a clue?

Your document can't be downloaded. It could have something to do with the extra dot in the name.

Finale 2014.5

This file has no tempo markings. So, I am baffled by the question.
