I have the same trouble after having to re-install on my MacPro. This is quite annoying after so many years trouble free!!! ...and I have F2014.

Someone must be able to help.

Hello again.
I have Fin 2014 also, and with this version everything is OK. (Win 7 and Win10). With Fin 2012 I still have this problem on machine with Win 7, but on laptop with Win 10 (new installation and reinstalled Finale) everything is OK.

Generally, extracting gets the names from the linked part name. Did you create linked parts first?

Then we might need to examine the file in question to see what else needs to be done.

With 2012c I have this problem on all files, both on W7 64bit and W8.1 64bit. No problems with 2014d on same machines.

I get the names with both 2012 and 2014. I wonder what difference there can be as to why some get the proper result and some don't?
