HI...

I'm old to Finale... but new to the NI Kontakt 2 GPO for Finale...

I have an orchestral score where the violins go from playing pizz to arco to pizz (etc).  At the moment, I only know how to put a single sound on the part (ie either arco OR pizz strings).  Is there a way to put in a program change or something that make it change sounds for the appropriate part of the piece???

Thanks in advance
Daniel

Hi Daniel,

The answer is yes. When chosing the violins, pick the ones with "KS" in their name. Then use text expressions (with NO values) for common directions like pizz. arco, con sordino, etc. (Human Playback interpretd the expressions and sends the necessary signals to GPO.)

Brilliant!

Thanks Ron.

I'm sure that's all in the manuel somewhere....?  But I couldn't find the manuel on the installation discs.  Or on the Computer once everything was installed... Any ideas where it might be?

Thanks again.
Daniel

Take a look at the Finale entry in the Start Menu. It usually gets installed there.
