I've tried all the scripts below to close a document but none works consistently & some intermittently crash the program ("Save" precedes each script):
 
Close
 
Press Ctrl + W
 
Press Ctrl + "W"
 
Press Alt + F
Press C
 
Press Alt + "F"
Press C
 
Press Alt + "F"
Press "C"
 
Execute menu item "File/Close"
 
What am I doing wrong?  This should be a very straightforward script!
