I recently updated my software to Finale 2014.5 and when I try to use Speedy Entry (using the 10-key pad) I only get rests. I seem to remember having this issue a long time ago after another update and it had something to do with the MIDI setting but I don't remember how to fix it. Any suggestions?

In the Speedy Menu, do you have selected to use a MIDI device for input?

Make sure you are not trying to enter Speedy notes with a MIDI device.

Go to the Speedy menu; you'll most likely see that "Use MIDI device for entry" is checked. Uncheck it, and you should be sorted.

[Edit: Darn; far too slow ... :-(
