we're experimenting with using projection systems for displaying music, and black font on white page is a bit harsh visually

is there a way to control "print" color for fonts and background ?

if not, has anyone done this successfully with some of graphics editing tool (e.g. photoshop) ?

thanks!

Finale can not nativity do this. You will need to process the output image in another application.

You could probably create a pdf file in finale, open it in photoshop and create a negative image.

This can be done within MuseScore....it's free and quite handy for an educator and students.

Nothing lost in checking it out.

thanks for the advice !

I will look at both MuseScore and Elements (which I have a copy of)

Eventually need to get the clips into Powerpoint, but I can always use a screen-shot if I need to, I suppose

MuseScore is a bit fiddly after importing from Music XML. Will see if I can find my old install for Elements . . .

You can save a page as a graphic in Finale then invert the color in Paint.

Ah -- forgot about olde paint (haha) -- had to figure out where the Invert control wandered off to :-)

I actually got a nice result using Elements creating a custom gradient that maps the white to a slate blue and black to a light aqua.

Appreciate all the suggestions !
