Starting this morning, downloaded midi files will no longer open in F2k1d. I get the "Invalid File Type" error. Midi files generated from existing .mus do open. (Those
midi that won't open in Finale do play on Windows Media Player.)

Is it a Finale/XP issue? That never happened in Windows '98.

Maybe you could post some of those MIDI files, and we could try to open them.

Yeah, if I knew how to "post one of those midi," or if you, Mr.. Top Secret, would provide us with your email address. Look, your Finale/system would no doubt open the midi that mine can not. When I try to open downloaded midi that I previously could open
they do not open. So, 'let's try something else' Mr.. Anon-it-all...

Where can I learn how to attach stuff into this forum's posts?

Having a hissy-fit doesn't encourage anyone to help you.

Well, well well.
None of us here are obligated to help you. You are a troll, now go away.

For everyone's info: This is the same guy who started the "Are file types copyright?" thread a while ago. Do a search for it and read it for a good laugh.

Ooh, I remember that one! That's the closest I ever came to flaming on this Forum!

And Thomas, or David, or whatever your name is, you need to lighten up. I'm sure that Anon was honestly trying to help. I saw nothing snide in his (or her) suggestion that you post the files. If you don't know how to post, ask and someone will be glad to explain. But as Dick said, copping an attitude is a sure way to turn us all off.

Cheers.

Perhaps, since he seems to be nothing but a troll, (that stuff on teachers in the other thread had the desired effect on me...) perhaps Coda Tech ought to just make him go away...

That said, some of the anonymous posters here do so to protect their email address. Spammers love to cruise forums like this one and harvest emails. Illegal as hell, but they all do it. (I just take the time to maintain more email addy's than I really need)

And like Gary said...lighten up. You'll live longer. Trust me.
