Hi, all,

I'm new to Finalescript. I've written a program in JMSL that composes music using quarter-tones. JMSL exports the score as MusicXML, which Finale actually reads quarter-tones and all (!). So far so good, except for playback.

Here's how I normally do quarter-tones in Finale:
I have three staff expressions: one quarter-step sharp (using the symbol), one normal (this one is invisible), and one quarter-tone flat (using the symbol). (I'm not dealing with 3/4 sharps or flats) These are monophonic parts, so using the pitch-bend wheel to execute playback for these works fine.

So some questions regarding the import:
It looks like the quarter-tones are basically disregarded as per the pitch, being treated as some non-executing accidental(?). Is there a way of converting these using Finalescript into the aforementioned staff expressions? And how exactly is Finale interpreting the quarter-tones? The key-signature is set to C major, so there's no trickery there it seems.

Thanks!
