does anyone know whether there is a plug-in available for converting standard staff notation into tonic sol-fa? Failing this, any other software out there?

Dear Danny
Tonic solfa is a non-staff notational system, which is the predominant form of notation used by African choirs. It is based on the do-re-me system, but having a so-caled movable doh or moveable tonic (as opposed to the French solfege system).
I recently got hold of a demo cersion of Sibelius and they had a plug-in that converted staff notation to solfa which is a nifty tool considering the amount of conversions I am busy with. Presently I have a long-winded system set up in my word processor.
Hope this explains a little more?

Aha - as I thought, it would be dead easy for me to add this feature to my existing ADD PITCH NAMES plug-in. Alas, you didn't reply to my email ...

Cheers,
Tobias

Hi,

you could check whether my new Add Pitch Names plug-in does it, TGTools->Music->Add Pitch Names (from www.tgtools.com).

Cheers,
Tobias
