This isn't exactly a Finale script question but it's close!  I had a very large number of scripts that I used for a big project (a church hymnal).  I backed up all the files (thankfully) but when my hard drive crashed unexpectedly I was unable to recover the scripts.  Is there a way to save the script file(s) external to the program so such a disaster doesn't recur?

On Windows, Finale scripts are saved in Finale\Component Files\Finalescript.dat. You should be able to add this file (or the whole folder, I suppose) to your backup routine.

If your drive really, really crashed and if the contents are really valuable --
There are companies around that can pull almost anything off a dead drive (and they aren't JUST the NSA).
Stop everything NOW, remove the drive, and send it to the pros.
The cost will not be cheap...
