I am making some custom rhythm exercises in finale 2009 and I was wondering how do I put a number before each staff or line of music?

using Windows xp with Finale 2008..........

Something like this? These are measure-attached text expressions, which have the advantage over the text tool of automatically aligning to the staff.  Once you define one of these, you can easily copy it and make a set of numbers. The text is 36-point Palantino.
