Please help!
I'm trying to insert a one measure repeat (alternate notation) however, every measure also changes! What am I doing wrong?

It sounds like you are trying to create your alternate notation through the Staff Attributes dialog box which will affect all the measures in the staff.
Instead, use a staff style. The Staff Styles dialog box is similar to the Staff Attributes dialog box, and (unlike staff attributes) you can apply a staff style to selected measures only.
