How can I avoid repeat printing the text of a chorus (refrain in a hymn, in this case), in order to get rid of the continuous blank underscore that appears beneath the first iteration of the chorus?

I'm not sure I understand the problem. If you are referring to the automatic word extension from the second verse that continues under the chorus, simply go to the measure tool, double click on the last measure of the verse, and ask it to break smart word extensions. If that doesn't do it, please post the file for our evaluation and possible solution.

You understood exactly the problem (just couldn't remember 'smart word extension'), and the solution. Again, many thanks.
