We signed up for Smart Music at the beginning of the school year but really have just now got to messing with it. we really have no clue what we are doing. His band teacher really pressed for everyone to get on smart music as it was so great. We can't find any of the songs that he is working on in school which are the ones he needs to be practicing. I guess we just need some pointers. Anyone willing to point us in the right direction? | Back to Top

My guess is that he is supposed to be working in his beginning band book. Launch SmartMusic Studio and when it opens select "open beginning band or string method." Once the choice of books open, have your son select the book that matches the one he uses in class and you should be able to get started from there.
Hope this helps and good luck!

You'll find the methods and exercises can also be "assessed" by SmartMusic. I've found the visual feedback often leads students to compete with themselves for a better score on an an exercise. It often engages students in longer and more effective practice sessions than sitting alone and playing through each exercise once or twice. | Back to Top
