Whenever I try to add a new staff with the staff tool, I get this error message and Finale crashes.

Two out of 3 computers here behave this way.

Anyone experiencing this?

It seems to be related to midi. Here is the crash log I get if I try to modify the device in the score manager, this time a get a crash log.

Any change I try to do to the midi or playback setup will crash the app.

I'd pull the Finale Preferences to the desktop and restart to generate a new set. Just a thought.

It didn't work for me. I used an existing file with the staves I needed, and just deleted all the music and lyrics.
Also used Notepad sometimes when 2012 would crash on 10.11.
