After I arrange or compose for orchestra (17+staves) and extract parts, I have to go in to each staff and de-select the measure numbers. The, for the bottom staff I increase the size of the measure number to about a 24 size font, is there a faster way to do this?
Help needed in Houston...

If I'm understanding you properly...
When you're first setting up your score, or at any time in the process of creating the document, use the Staff Tool to tell all staves but the bottom one to display measure numbers. Then select the Measure Tool and go to Measure> Measure Numbers> Edit Regions> Set Font. You can set the font size here.
The measure numbers will appear at this size in all of the extracted parts, which I would assume that you want to happen.

You can use Plug-in>Global Staff Attribute
to deselect all numbers at once.
