I'm just happy that there are still some good people around, such as Migman and David Young, and I'm grateful to them for not making any judgements, I believe they have shown a lot of maturity here, I have friends like that and they are the ones I appreciate the most. I hope to get to know Dave and Migman more and share with them more of my music and have interesting exchanges with them.

I certainly will remember their good heart!

It is nobody's business to judge someone else's character especially based on a thread where nobody knows nothing about each other in the REAL life.
I don't care who you are, in IMHO it is of very poor taste to start attributing psychological problems to someone you don't know, haven't met, haven't spoken other than here. There is a fine line between giving an opinion and judging someone, Michael has crossed the line and I don't take this lightly.
Sir, when you will have lived with me, see how I function with my friends and family, see my work ethics, see many other things about me and walked a mile in my shoes, as they say, perhaps, ONLY THEN you may pose such judgment! I never once made any judgment over anybody here about who they are, who what kind of person "I THINK" they are. I find that is stooping quite low. It is simply wrong to judge anybody publicly, but more importantly when you know absolutely nothing about this person.

I'm sorry, but, you DID call me a hypocrite. That's doing exactly what you said you "don't do".

And you made a very disparaging remark about at least one other person in this thread. (more, actually, if I really felt like digging through the thread).

I think you've more than outworn your welcome here, Guy.
You don't like us, you have no respect for us, and you're attributing all sorts of evils to us, so why do you bother to stay?

No one here is interested in your proposal.
And you obviously know the business better than anyone here, even those who currently work in Hollywood.
So at this point, wouldn't it be best for you to move on?

Since you've gained such a warm following on the Sibelius forum, it only seems natural that you should spend your energies where you are appreciated.
Because those energies are quite obviously wasted here.

In one fell swoop, this person has single-handedly transformed what has always been a very professional forum into a dirt-mucking, insult-slinging, run-of-the-mill "interwebs" flame-fest.
It is high time that this end.

Michael, you have not stop giving advice, if I can give you ONE advice sir, stop trying giving people advice and let people work their own ways, especially if they have been quite successful at it despite the 1% of garbage they might get.

Mr. Edward, I prefer not to talk to you and you should do the same.

But you came here for advice. That is what this forum is for. You simply asked the wrong question and continue to hammer away obsessed with posturing and advice to 'never give advice. ' No hipocracy there.

I'm so done with you and this thread.

Michael, I think you should read the ad again. Where am I asking for advice? I came here looking for a copyist interested in the project, period!

And if you notice I did leave my email address so people could get in touch with me and ask questions directly to me, NOT MAKE A CIRCUS OF THIS RIGHT FROM THE START!!!

Mr. Bacos, I'd also much prefer not speaking to you.
But you made a statement which is false, and I called you on it.

As for the rest, I think this forum was a far better place before your arrival.

You know best. You have said so, multiple times. Even in private messages you've been nothing but antagonistic.
Well, since you know best, you don't need help from anyone on this forum.

And I know you don't like advice, but you could use this tid-bit of advice: haughtiness is not a quality. the piece you posted might be pretty, and you may be getting many compliments for your music, but that's no excuse to treat people around you like crap, simply because they disagree with you. All that does is make you look like a jerk, and it makes other people realize they don't want to work with you in future. Your friends and family may think you're a swell guy, but all the potential employers you've angered or insulted on this forum probably won't share that impression of you.

Mr. Edward, you are a smart man, I can tell, but please don't try to outsmart me with you clever speeches about attempting to insecure me because I give my opinion here and you don't like it. I won't work, so use your time better elsewhere.

Guy , you appear to be under the illusion that this thread, becasue you started it, is somehow "yours".
This forum is for ALL Finale users. If you are making statements in it that require correction, then it is up to us, the forum's regular participants, to correct those statements.

If you are making disparaging remarks about either the forum or its participants, then it is up to us, as regular forum participants to express what needs to be expressed.

I am not "trying to outsmart" you.
You are expressing opinions here.
Well, accept it or do not, but OTHER people will react to your opinions as well.

I'm not trying to "insecure you". I couldn't care LESS how secure or otherwise you are.
What I DO care about is being called a hypocrite, and "out of the loop", and other rather less-than-complimentary things.

And I am free, as are you, to use my time as I see fit.
I come to this forum every morning. I look at what has been posted, I respond where I can help when there are requests for assistance.

As for your posts, well, you asked for it.
You posted an "advertisement".
A few people DID ask you questions about it, and expressed concern about the business model you were applying.
You then proceeded to attack anyone who disagreed with you.
You even insulted people who work in the very field which you profess to be interested in.
And you stooped to the lowest form of "epeen" gratification by commanding me to present my own music to be compared to yours.

Your behaviour in this thread has been anything but "gentlemanly" (your supposed usual state, as you preened in the PMs you sent me).
There have been multiple opportunities for this entire debacle to end, once and for all. Yet you have done nothing but throw more oil on the fire.
Pardon me if I disbelieve your professions of "gentlemanliness".

And just so you understand perfectly well:
my comments here have had NOTHING to do with "not agreeing with your opinion".
I'm not concerned with your opinion.
I'm concerned with your unacceptable and unprofessional behaviour in this forum.
Your petulant tirades and poorly-worded insults have no place here.

I was sure this would of ended when Vanessa testified, I mean what more proof could you ask for than previous experiences? But despite that, I was still identified, time after time, as a freeloader which was totally uncalled for and WRONG! Was I suppose to enjoy this attribute after working hard all my life? This theme has been the common denominator right to this moment that has triggered reactions from me. You talk about being a gentleman etc... what is more important is your work ethic and track record and quality of what you produce, and in that regard you could ask anyone about me and they will tell you. Also, it is quite exceptional I go this far to make a point, but if I do, maybe, just MAYBE, it is because I believed deep down that I was being honest in my request and had perfectly good intentions with what would of been my copyist. Or do you think it is a hobby of mine and I have nothing better to do in my life than come on forums and make tantrums? If you follow my pace of producing music you will see that I have other things in my life than make trouble on forums...

And people should cool it with: "Here in L.A....." L.A. is just the result of international talent being directed in this industry. So L.A. needs people like me as much as I need them.

And my last comment could possibly interpret that as inflated ego, I don't, I see it as being confident in my music.

All right folks, this thread is getting dangerously close to being removed.

I understand the differences of opinions, and I am not picking sides, but this is not the venue to argue those differences.

I'm leaving it open for now, but if the personal attacks continue, I'm deleting this thread. Let's just agree to disagree and let this one go, OK?

Thanks,
David

Please, please do. This thread has been a blight on what is usually a most useful and informative (not to mention polite) forum.

+1

Until then the EDIT IGNORED USERS feature is very useful.

Unsubscribing to the topic is also helpful.

Deletion(s) are probably best as the unprovoked insults continue to fly unabated by the o/p and the thread serves no useful purpose whatsoever, IMO.
