So, this is a new one that I've not seen before. I downloaded a Finale 2002 document, which it auto updated, but instead of note heads, there are numbers and symbols. It looks more like a grawlix than sheet music.

I've attached the original file, and the converted one saved in 2012 format.

How can I easily convert all the notes back to their standard form?

The Staff Style in question uses an independent notehead font called "Shape Notes". It could be that the font is not installed on your computer. I got the same result as you, and the font is tagged as "missing" in my font list.

meesa, the reasoning behind my giving you a curt initial reply is to spur you to look for the solution with minimal correct guidance. You'll learn the software quicker when you are an active learner....I am not trying to be a hard ass.
