I downloaded and installed both Finale Viewer and Finale Notepad 2004 and I am unable to open finale files. In finale viewer, when I open the file the viewer displays a blank background with a little colorful square in the top left corner. When I open the file in Finale Notepad 2004, an error message comes up saying that I have an invalid file type. the file extension is .mus
Anyway, If anyone can help I would appreciate it.

Drag the file onto StuffIt Expander, and see if that helps.
