I downloaded Smartmusic so my son could begin his homework.  I know it is in my computer I just can't find it!  I will be getting the cd in the mail but... My cd-rom drive is stuck and won't open.. that is why I downloaded it.  I have a gateway year 2000 computer with windows 98 and absolutely no clue how to do anything except research on the internet and send emails.  Please help. Thanks

Unfortunately I don't know the name of the file you'd want to search for. I suggest you go ahead and give customer support a call today - they should be able to help you quickly, and it's a free call.

The file that you downloaded is called InstallSmartMusic8-5Win.exe. You may be able to search your hard drive for this file to run the installer. If you can not find this file, please try downloading it again from http://www.smartmusic.com/download.aspx. If you are prompted to run or save your file, I would recommend pressing save so you can select where the file should be saved.

Save the file to the desktop - that's always the easiest to find.
