I would like to do a complete uninstall of all finale application files in order to do a fresh reinstall of 2014d. Any step by step instructions would be appreciated.

Thank you,

Richard

As far as I know, the uninstall step is not necessary, because running the installer overwrites all the old files, including fonts. In fact, I have to move my special templates temporarily to other folders so I don't lose them.

I've never used it, but most installers have an "uninstall" option, in case you just want to erase the app. I would bet that the Finale installer has the same option.

No, Finale doesn't have an uninstaller option.

As stated, the installer will overwrite the existing files, so deleting first is not usually necessary. (MM Support will talk you through an extensive list of files to delete in the event of a problem, though! lol )

The main things to delete are the USER Library files in /Users/<your account>/Library/Application Support/MakeMusic/Finale 2014.
This will get rid of any Document Styles and templates you've created, additional FANs, and other modifications you may have made. (So make sure you've got a backup.)
Finale will re-fill these folders when you run it for the first time.

You will also want to get rid of the preference files in <user>/Library/Preferences:
Finale 2014 Preferences
com.makemusic.finale.plist

There may also be prefs for JW Plug-ins and Patterson Beams.
