I've imported an older file and wanted to set it up to use the Garritan Orchestra. When I follow the instructions for this and go to view the "Instrument List" in the Window menu, nothing displays. I even reinstalled Finale thinking something was corrupted but to no avail.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Sometimes it's minimized on the bottom of the screen.

It wouldn't be with the other minimized programs, but a line above them on the far left. If it isn't there, it might be sitting beyond the boundaries of your screen. Try increasing your screen resolution.

Have you ever used two monitors and are only using one right now?

The position and size of the Instrument List window is saved in the FINALE.INI file in the main program folder. You can edit this with Notepad. Look near the bottom for these lines and insert the figures I copied. This should force the window to appear in reduced size on the screen as soon as you start Finale, then you can resize it how you like, exit normally and your own preference will be saved in the file. Make sure "Save window states..." is selected in Program Options > View before exiting.
