(I still mostly use the latter, and probably will do for quite some time.) So, I didn't visit the Forum much for quite a while. When I finally broke down and got 2004 (Macintosh version), it was so late that I am actually entitled to a free 2005 (which came out fewer than 30 days later, and is on its way). Meanwhile, I had created a thread about bugs in 2004 which I have since closed off. It seemed to me that the complexion of the Forum (don't call it webboard) had qualitatively changed. Although I found a number of bugs and oddities in 2004, I found almost nothing about any of them in postings from established users. My guess is that, now that MakeMusic actually responds to and addresses people's e-mail inquiries, most people were going straight to them, instead of here to look for workarounds.
It would be quite useful if there were a repository of bug and quirk information along the lines you are describing. It would be nice if it were catagorized (people who would never dream of using human playback are probably tired of hearing us bellyache about its functionality), but at least it should be divided between Mac and Windows, because the problems are often different (as in the speed issue with the Mac version).
Thanks for doing this. ("Pooleing" of information is always a good idea.) But please do it twice!Post Edited (Victor Frost) : 8/28/2004 4:50:37 PM GMT | Back to Top | | Forum Information | Currently it is Tuesday, December 19, 2023 8:04 PM (GMT -6) There are a total of 403,820 posts in 58,165 threads.
