One measure of 9/8 must be inserted into a 6/8 piece, AND, when music flows from one key into another, new key signature must be used.
Is it all possible with Finale software?

Yes, it's possible, but not in the free Finale NotePad (you get what you pay for, right?).

Actually, it's not easy to find a music notation problem Finale can't solve.

If so, could you recommend appropriate Finale software to replicate writing of say, Schostakovich?

Thanks Dan. It is valuable to hear that from a composer, and is quite promising to realize that I may be very close to something that I am looking for. Last question, if you don't mind. Is Finale able to recreate orcherstra score of Anton Webern? If yes, I will really be looking into it. Thanks again.

Why would Webern be a problem? The musical structures may have been new about 70 years ago, but the notation is as straightforward as Mozart.
