I can use my own MusicXML based analysis script to detect where there are fermatas in some voices, but not in others. (And there's also Jari's Fermata Checker). In almost all cases, the measure in which a fermata is missing only has a single note or rest, the others will have to be handled manually in any case.
My analysis gives me the measure numbers and instrument names of all single rest/note instances where a fermata is missing. This would allow me to generate a script that selects all the measures in the respective instruments, but I don't know whether it's at all possible to create fermatas using Finalescript. I'd appreciate any help!
