I've tried doing this with the default document to no avail.

I want to change the default expression metatool M from Rehearsal Letters to Measure Number, and the master tool shortcuts (⌃J-;) to the same things every time I open a new document. I am able to get this with the default document by overwriting its settings, but when I create a new file in the setup wizard, it does not share these traits. Is there a way to do this while still using the setup wizard for custom (not saved) ensembles? I would greatly prefer this to using the score manager and tools to set up a document from the default from scratch.

There are two separate folders, containing separate documents.

One folder is called Default Files.
In the folder Default Files resides your Default Document (which you have customized).
You will get an new, Untitled copy of your Default Document when you choose
File menu > New > Default Document

Another folder is called Document Styles.
In the folder Document Styles reside the Document Setup Wizard’s templates (which you have not customized).
Just customize the templates in the folder Document Styles, and the Setup Wizard will give you new documents with the expression metatools you need.

Another folder is called House Styles.

It's called "Document Styles". House Styles is a Sibelius thing, I think. smilewinkgrin
