Hi,
I'm new to the forum. Has anyone figured out how to print all the files
in a folder directly to a set of PDF files? I'm using the latest version of Mac
OSX and Finale 2009.
Thank you,
Eddie Scheer

I'm not sure why you're posting this request in two plug-in forums, rather than in the Mac forum, but how about the Mac equivalent of this:

1) Set up PDFWriter as the default printer

2) Highlight all the MUS files you want to convert to PDF

3) Right click and select "Print"

On the Mac, if you have either Acrobat Standard or Professional...

1. Make "Adobe PDF" your default printer.

2. Using Finalescript select your folder of files.

3. Highlight "Batch Print" script inside of Finalescript and click the green arrow (play button) to start the process.

Do you really have to use a scripting language (even FinaleScript!) to print a group of files on the Mac? Perhaps that's why Microsoft starting using multi-button mice all those years ago! lol

Well, I'm just trying to help Eddie but if you want to get into flame wars Brian you can do that with yourself. Since Eddie is asking this in the Plug-In area I thought I would give him an answer that relates. Have fun.

SF, most definitely not a flame war. My comment about highlighting several (or all) files and hitting print works, and does exactly what the OP wanted, without requiring scripting. I don't see how that can be seen as "flaming".

Apart from my light hearted comment about multi-button mice (which, in case you missed it, was accompanied by a "lol" smiley), my second post is also of serious intent: surely, on the Mac, you can do a similar thing, selecting a group of files and then sending them to the printer, without having to get involved with scripting?

FWIW, Eddie also posted the same question in FinaleScript, which suggested to my experienced eyes that perhaps he was a new forum member who, possibly, was not entirely sure where to post this kind of question (his "Dec 2008" joining date was the other clue), so I made the not entirely unreasonable assumption that he might just want to convert a batch of files into PDF, rather than use plug-ins (or FinaleScript) for its own sake. Maybe I read too much into it; maybe not. Probably Eddie should have posted this in "Mac", in which case I might not even have seen it.

All this is supposed to be helpful, and I'm sorry you misinterpreted my intentions sufficiently to suggest I was trying to start a flame war.
