I was very happy to read reports that 2011c works in El Capitain and Sierra since that is the only version I've used since 2010. My installation disks were misplaced some years ago and I've tried to get replacements from MakeMusic but they don't have them. Does anyone have the complete installation in a file they can email to me?

Do you not have the app and its Application Support folder already installed somewhere? Or on your backup? You should be able to just copy the components over.

I have the installer form the old DVD on my Server, if you want it: I just tried it and it was very slow. Scrolling was jittery and laggy. Mind you, that's what some people say about Finale 25, so for others, it might be lightning!

I am constantly amazed at MM's stance that they do not keep any old installation media.

I have it installed already on my machine but it crashes when I try to open it. It was working for a while, up to a few days ago. I lost the disk a long time ago and I've copied the folders from computer to computer since 2010 so maybe something has corrupted. Anyway, Mike Rosen has graciously offered to help so thanks everyone for your replies.

The 2011c updater is still online but, to get the original installer, best to rely on the kindness of strangers with DropBox. I could upload it to mine if need be but it looks like you are being taken care of.

I burned a new DVD, and sent it.

Since MM doesn't object to this - in fact, they have suggested to people that they ask on the forum - maybe we should set up a repository of install disks for older versions.

I suspect MM does have copies, but doesn't want to be in the business of sending out replacements, which I can understand.

Then they could make the older versions available for download. Not necessarily public, but there are past purchasers with a legitimate need for replacement.

I agree. Especially in this day of delivering via download only with no media.

That MM can't keep an FTP server or DropBox account somewhere is absurd. There's no reason to make it public, though. That way, if a customer needs access to an older copy for whatever reason (and they do exist) an emailed link from Support gets that person back in business.

Many companies do this. Others, like Adobe and MOTU, grant customers access to every version but you can only use the ones for which you have licenses.
