I try one part at a time and sometimes two, I have tried layers, it doesn't work. When I have got the soprano ok and I add the Alto it enters on the sopran staff but with F-clef notes. Or else it deletes what is there. Anyone that know what to do?? | Back to Top | |

Select Alto line, right click>Move/Copy layers>move layer 1 to layer 2, OK. 3. Repeat for Bass line. 4. Make sure you are in Layer 2. 5. Document menu>View Active Layer Only. (Only the alto and bass staves should show notes.) 6. Select Alto line, drag to soprano staff. 7. Select Bass line, drag to tenor staff. 8. Document menu> Uncheck View Active Layer Only. 9. Staff tool, delete original alto and bass lines. 10. Respace staves and lyrics as necessary. 11. (I would) change the clef in the tenor/bass line to the regular bass clef, and change the names at the left of the staves.
Remember that although the notes for alto and bass are red on screen, they will print in black. Mike Rosen www.specialmillwork.com
