I've done everything I can find to do in
setup and oms setup and it still is not
accepting a Dx7 through digi 001.

The test tells me that it gets midi info but
it also tells me that it expects to find a 001
but can't and to "check "setup. What am I
missing?

Sounds like you just need to edit the Finale MIDI Setup:

Using Finale with Open Music System (Finale):

1. After OMS is installed and configured, go to Finale's MIDI Menu and select MIDI Setup.
2. In the Finale MIDI Setup dialog box choose Open Music System for the MIDI System.
3. The Output Device should be your keyboard or sound module and the Input Device should be your keyboard or controller. If you don't see them listed, click on the drop down menu and select the appropriate item. Only one item should be selected for each Device. To de-select an item, click on the drop down menu and choose the item again. **If an item listed is in italics, it cannot be selected because it's from a previous OMS Setup. OMS can only use one setup at a time, so make sure the one that is currently in use by OMS is correctly configured.**
4. If you don't see your keyboard, etc. on the drop down menu, but Ports ARE listed, try selecting the port your MIDI device is connected to.
5. If you don't see Ports or your keyboard, etc. listed on the drop down menu, then OMS isn't configured properly. Please refer to the OMS Read-Me in the Opcode Folder on your hard drive.

If you're having problems...
Trashing the Finale Preferences (Desktop):

1. Quit Finale.
2. Locate on your Hard Drive>System Folder>Preferences>Finale Preferences.
3. Drag the file Finale Preferences to the trash can and empty it.
4. Start Finale and configure your MIDI Setup in Finale again.
