First off - I am running Finale 2012c on an iMac running v 10.8.2

I am creating simple arrangements for my students solos to make SmartMusic accompaniment files. The solo I'm working on has a D.S. al Fine. I put the Sign, the D.S. al Fine, and the Fine into the score. When it plays back it jumps from the DS al Fine to the Sign but does not stop at the Fine mark. I have searched the Finale user manual and this forum and can't find how to make this work.

You need to set the Fine assignment to stop on a certain pass (pass 2, or maybe pass 3 if there was a repeat sign in there, whatever you determine is the pass).

Take a look at the attached Finale 2012 document.

You'll learn some things.

I won't explain what I did, but you can figure it out.
