I write music for a jazz band, and I have a template that I use where I've set almost all the fonts to JazzText or Jazz. However, I've had some issues with chord suffix fonts, specifically any numeric aspects of chords, such as 6th, 7th, and parenthetical additions. Any additions appear in a font that looks similar to Times New Roman, even though the chord fonts I set (under Document > Document Options > Fonts > Chord) all say "Jazz" or "JazzText."

I found a way to change the font of every part of the chord (Chord > Change Chord Suffix Font), but that presents a different problem. If I set everything to JazzText, then the flat symbol in parenthetical chord suffixes appears as a capital "B." I attached 2 files; 1 using the Jazz font (with the capital B as the flat symbol), and another file with the Times New Roman-ish font.

So my question is, is there any way I can use both the JazzText font for chord suffixes, and have the flat symbol appear as the flat symbol (instead of the capital B)?

P.S. I found this page, and while it somewhat addresses my question at the end, it doesn't quite answer it.

I suggest two ways:
1. Use the option "Symbol / Prefix with Flat" in the Chord Suffix Editor instead of explicitely write the alteration.
2. If you want to explicitely write the alteration instead of using the option mentioned in 1. you should use then the font called "Jazz___.ttf"
If you have a look in a font editor program to the font "JazzText.ttf" in your document you will see that it uses a "B" for "b".
The font "Jazz___.ttf" uses a "b" for a "b"

I do not use the jazz fonts but it seems that they have a quite complicated layout!

Best regards

When editing the suffix, navigate to the B and press the Symbol button. Then choose the flat sign from the window.

Zuill,

I right-clicked on the chord and selected "Edit Chord Definition," but I don't see that option. Am I in the wrong window?
