Finale is the only "classic mode" program that I
cannot get to work properly on my new iMac.

It plays back my Finale files as only a bunch of
clicks--no pitches at all.

How do I fix this?

Thanks,

Mark Carlson

I just got an ibook/OSX and have the same problem. I loaded Fin 2002; it boots in classic mode no problem; looks and works well except for internal speaker playback.

It sounds echoey to me, like a heavily processed patch. I can't change it to a piano sound or anything! I've never had that problem before.

I dropped by this forum to see how I can fix it.

Sorry I can't help you Mark. I'm in the same boat. Go Bruins!

Hey there. You've quite a wait until hockey season!

I suspect your problem is with Quicktime - I assume you are using
this for playback and not an external sound module or soft synth?

I just helped a friend with that "echoey" problem. Your best bet is
to revert to Quicktime 4.x with appropriate extensions in your
System Folder.

In particular, make sure that you revert the Quicktime Musical
Instruments extension.
