Has anyone heard whether we'll get support for the touch bar feature on the new MacBook Pros? Seems like it could be pretty useful for those of us that type in entries manually.

I'm asking because I just took in my 2011 long-dead MacBook Pro in to Apple, which they had fixed three times, ending almost two years ago. At that point I gave up on it and replaced it with a new MacBook. But today I thought maybe it would be a nice backup machine, so I took it in to Apple, and without me even asking, they decided to give me a brand new MacBook Pro ($1600 worth of computer). It's the pre-touch bar version, but I can trade it in for any model and it seems like touch bar and Finale would have lots of potential. It's probably the one feature that would sway me to swap computers before I even open the box. Anyone heard anything about this?

There was another discussion about this recently.

Yeah I saw that, but I thought maybe the Finale development folks had mentioned it somewhere else. I guess not. Do they not tip their hand much about development?

It's too new and only one Mac has it. I can't imagine they'd try to incorporate it this quickly.
