I'm trying to select 2 staves, implode them & add the new staff to the bottom of the score.  Can I do this through Finalescript?

What kind of staves are you dealing with with? Single line?
This should be possible.

See the script "SATB to piano" to get started.

Hi UGC,

I am proposing a solution with layer 1/2. There is no way to deal with Implode Music with Finalescript, if a batch process is involved.

Below you'll find the script you can simply copy/paste to Finalescript editor. Everything has been taken care of: shortening the stems, lyrics, instrument transposition (by the way: never use Key Signatures for isntrument transposition as you did!!), staff name, clef.
I have attached some example file you can try: before the script (SATB version), and after the script. The difficulty was to preserve the lyrics while mixing layers...

I hope this help you, I think this is a good example of the power of Finalescript (if it works for you!)
