i don't undertand why this tool is so cheap. i loose a lot of time with this tool :
example : when you want to put a crescendo shape for everybody ( in a big band score ) you have to put one shape, and use the copy paste method.
 
is there a way to get it faster, with finale scripts maybe... ?

Another fast way to input cresc.'s and dim's is to click on the smart shape tool and use the < and > keys.

For a cresc. hold down the < key and double click and drag to the right.

For a dim. hold down the > key and double click and drag to the right.

If you accidentally hit the wrong key you can drag in the opposite direction to get the smart shape you intended to select.
