This whole section is just 4 measures long. Is there a way to have the measure numbers skip the 2/4 measures, so that a single 9/8 + 2/4 measure counts as a single measure? | Back to Top

(Full Finale only. Obviously, this is what you're using, but for the convenience of others, please add the program and version you are using to your signature, in the user control panel.) Mike Rosen www.specialmillwork.com

To put an image in the post body, after uploading the image, click on it to open it in your browser. Then copy the URL in the address box of the image. Then edit your post again and use the "Insert Image" button. Paste the URL in the dialog and submit your edit. It is a two step process.

Keep in mind, though, that this won't work (at least, it doesn't for me in Firefox) if there is a space in the picture name. Use an underline, instead: <screen_shot>, rather than <screen shot>. Alas, the split-measure plug-in, which will do all the hiding for you, refuses to work on composite time signatures! You can study the faile I posted above. Look at the time-signature and measure attributes for the two halves of the split measure.
This is so common it would be cool if it were an option in the time signature dialog. You could specify where you wanted a dashed barline inserted every measure. Finale 2011b, 2005, TGTools Windows 7, MIDI input Finale Transposition Chart | Back to Top
