When I open up any of the methods books on my laptop (new subscription on laptop) I get font symbols rather than music notation for the various pieces. Any suggestions?

Re-starting my computer after installing the program fixed this problem for me.

Thanks for the suggestion but, unfortunately, that didn't solve the problem. I'm still getting either symbols or letters in place of notation.

Go to http://www.finalemusic.com/downloads/ , and where it says "name:" type in "fontpack". Download the fontpack for your operating system and install it. Restart the computer and give it a try.

Windows XP, all updates
